Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and Luke Lau ("we", "us"), the developer of Vocabulary Daybreak ("the app"). By using the app you agree to them. Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

Who can use the app

You must be at least 13 to use the app. If you're under 18, please use it with a parent's or guardian's permission.

Using the app

You may use the app for your personal, non-commercial learning. Please don't misuse it, copy or resell its content, or try to access other people's accounts or data.

Accounts

Creating an account is optional. Keep access to your email secure; you're responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time in Profile › Account. We may suspend an account that's used to misuse the service.

Vocabulary Premium (subscriptions)

• Plans: Premium is offered as a yearly or a monthly auto-renewing subscription. Prices are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency.
• Free trial: the yearly plan may include a free trial for new subscribers. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the yearly price is charged to your Apple ID.
• Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and length unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged within 24 hours before the period ends.
• Cancelling: manage or cancel in your iPhone's Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Refunds: purchases are made through Apple, so Apple handles refunds under its policies. You can ask for one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Any legal right to cancel that you have where you live is handled through Apple too.

Learning content

Definitions, examples and other content are written for learning and may contain mistakes. The app helps you build your vocabulary; it doesn't guarantee any exam score or result. The English test word bundles are our own selection of words, not official lists or past papers from the test makers. Links to official practice materials open the test makers' own websites, which have their own terms. The app's content and design belong to us; please don't copy or redistribute them.

SAT is a trademark of the College Board. GRE and TOEFL are trademarks of ETS. PTE is a trademark of Pearson. IELTS is owned by the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and Cambridge University Press & Assessment. Vocabulary Daybreak is an independent app and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any of them. Other names mentioned in example sentences belong to their owners.

Changes and availability

We may update the app and these terms. We'll update the date above when we do. We may change or discontinue features, but not ones you've already paid for during a current subscription period.

Liability

The app is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
